Back when I was younger, I had a habit I never questioned.
Every day at five, I’d set my watch by the courthouse clock.
Trusted it. Counted on it. Never thought twice.
From where I stood… it looked right.
Then one day, an old cowboy said something to me that made me take a closer look.
And what I found…
Changed the way I look at a lot more than just time.
Years later, when my boy came to me talkin’ about a young lady who seemed just about perfect…
That old lesson came back around.
